CMCC COURSE PENDING STATE APPROVAL IN MINNESOTA
PHARMACIST-LED
ONLINE & SELF-PACED

EDUCATION BUILT FROM NEARLY 11 YEARS OF DIRECT PATIENT CARE
Minnesota's medical cannabis dispensaries are nearly 11 years old and have utilized pharmacists to meet one-on-one with the approved patients. These 20-minute consultations shaped how patients started, adjusted, and managed cannabis as part of their care.

We are in a unique position to share knowledge, skills and experience for all those involved in assisting patients in the medical cannabis program. This depth of expertise doesn't exist outside Minnesota — and it's still missing for most professionals working with patients today. Cannabis Training Company exists to close that gap.
Our courses give nurses, pharmacists, providers, professionals and budtenders a foundation grounded in real patient care: where to start, how to follow up, when to adjust treatment, and how to document encounters for liability and continuity. The program is online, self-paced, and designed to fit around a working schedule.

She is a Doctor of Pharmacy licensed in Minnesota and Florida, and a registered preceptor in Minnesota for pharmacy students. She completed her pharmacy education at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy in 2010 and finished an Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency through the University of Minnesota at the Federally Qualified Westside Community Clinic's East Side Family Clinic location in St. Paul in May 2011. During that time, she served as a teaching assistant in the required pharmaceutical care skills laboratory and as a volunteer instructor for required Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience Foundations lectures. Her clinical experience includes medication therapy management (MTM) at North Memorial Health Care System while undertaking Superuser work building pharmacy platforms and validating reporting within EPIC Medical Records. She gained retail experience at Walmart and provided MTM in a managed care setting for the Federal Employee Program at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota while working again with EPIC Medical Records as a Superuser to build pharmacy dashboards within the medical record. She worked as a Cannabis Pharmacist at Green Goods (Vireo Health) for over 9.5 years and currently serves as Medical Manager at The Joint Dispensary in Wayzata, MN. Before pharmacy school, Mary Jo earned a Master's degree in Human Resource Development with two Master's certificates in Adult Education and Human Resource Development, while working full time in the Biochemical Genetics Laboratory at The Mayo Clinic. Her graduate work focused on designing, managing, and evaluating programs to improve organizations and the people inside them — covering organization development, strategic planning, change management, total quality management, continuous quality improvement, leadership development, and adult education principles. That background shapes how the Cannabis Training Company curriculum is built today.
